If reading this site has convinced you that the Trustednet has a reasonable chance of transforming the Internet, please consider volunteering. We need people to do just about everything, from upgrading this web site to recruiting more members and drafting our documents. We make no promises, but experience shows that early volunteers often end up in positions of influence as an organization like ours grows. So maybe you missed out on Wikipedia when it was launched- here’s your opportunity to get on board with something potentially much larger.

Volunteer

When registering as a member, please use the Notes field to explain how you are willing and able to contribute. We can’t promise to use everybody initially, but we hope to use everybody at some time. Our most immediate need is for those with marketing and public relations experience that can help us get on a growth track real soon.

The only way we can afford to spread this concept is by putting out links everywhere it is relevant. Any article or blog post that touches upon a subject that the Trustednet is a solution for is a great candidate for posting a comment that includes a link to thetrustednet.org. For example, you read an article in the NY Times online about a new plan for national ID cards. Since private Privacy Providers can identify you better than any ID card, this would be a good place to submit a comment to that effect and include the link to this site. A single link may never be used, but when people start seeing the link over and over, they may eventually respond. Post a link and comment even if several others have done the same thing, this is the repetiion we need in order to get recognized. The spread of the Trustednet is likely to go very slowly at first, and then reach a tipping point where membership numbers will take off.
